Jour au bureau - Marie au Vietnam S01E14 (30/04/2010)

Aujourd'hui c'est 'Go Live Day'!!! En gros on met en production ce soir vers minuit, donc le public devrait avoir acces a ce que nous avons fait pendant la nuit...... C'est aussi mon dernier jour sur le projet!! Mais ca n'a ete confirme que tres tard hier... Resultat je ne vais pas a Sapa pour 3j (il aurait fallu que je parte ce soir pas trop tard par le train) mais j'irai en croisiere a Halong Bay pour 2 jours dimanche et lundi :) (Puis depart pour Melbourne le mardi).
Today is go live day, or should I say go live night as we are not allowed to start the process before 10pm....
And it is my last day on the project as well. I really wanted to go to Sapa for 3 days but I would have had to leave at around 8pm tonight by train and it doesn't look doable... I'm going on a cruise to Halong Bay on Sunday and Monday instead (flying back to Meblourne on Tuesday) :)

Comme je le disais dans mon post precedent, aujourd'hui c'est le 30 avril; c'est l'anniversaire de la fin du Vietnam. Du coup, vers 21h, nous avons pu assister a un superbe feu d'artifice d'environ 30 minutes... Depuis le bureau..... Grosse ambiance, les locaux qui travaillent pour notre client etaient tous contents!
As I was saying on my previous post, the 30th of April is the celebartion of the end of the Vietnam War. At around 9pm, we got to see a really long and massive fireworks :) ... From the windows of the office...

Go Live....
Et voila comment on passe une nuit a tenter d'aller en production.... Nous sommes restes au bureau jusqu'a 4h30 du mat (sachant que j'ai commence a bosser de l'hotel a 6h ce matin quand meme...). Au dodo vers 5h.... Et la nouvelle c'est que ca marche pas! Mais la ca bloque a cause de choses que je ne connais pas trop donc pas besoin de revenir bosser demain soir pour moi! Ah ben oui, ce genre de travail ce fait uniquement la nuit parce qu'on bloque tout le system donc les gens qui travaillent pour le client ne pourraient rien faire de leur journee sinon....
Few pix of the office during go live night! We, Neto team, stayed until 4:15am (as a reminder I started working in the hotel at 6am this morning....). Well, in the end we are not live but I don't have the knowledge to help on what is not working so no need for me to come back tomorrow night (part of the system is already live so we're only allowed to work at night...).
