L'arrivee - Marie au Vietnam S01E02 (18/04/2010)

Flight:
Je suis donc partie samedi soir vers minuit. 8h plus tard, arret a Kuala Lumpur pour 4h30 (ou j'ai travaille pendant quelques heures) puis 3h30 de vol et me voila a Hanoi :)
Quelques photos au moment de l'atterissage.
I left Melbourne on Saturday at midnight. I had a long stop over in KL where I worked for few hours and finally arrived in Hanoi after lunch!
Hotel Movenpick:
Quelques photos de mon chez moi pour quelques jours... Voire plus!
Carrement sympa! En plus c'est en centre ville (mais a 30 minutes du bureau en taxi).
Some picks of my hotel room; it's quite nice AND in the center of Hanoi :) Better than being next to the office which is 30 minutes away by car!

La salle de bain, c'est un truc de ouf, deja, par la fenetre on peut voir la tele qui est dans la chambre et il y a un bouton pour avoir le son dans la salle de bain. Et l'eau de la douche sort du plafond!!!!!
The bathroom is just amasing! The water of the shower comes of the roof AND I can watch TV from the bathtube through the window AND there is a sound system in the bathroom.... Amasing!!!!

Walk in Hanoi:
J'ai pris une petite douche, defait ma valise puis j'ai rejoint Dinesh et nous sommes alles faire un tour dans Hanoi :)))))
I had a short shower and met up with Dinesh to go for a walk in Hanoi :))))

Pause nourriture! Assez bizarre, 'a la viande' en fait c'etait des mini bouts de saucisse et sucre a la fois.. Bizarre, pas top (mais j'aime pas trop le sucre sale)
Food time :) Wierd stuff really, it was suppose to have meat inside but it was only tiny tiny pieces of sausage and it was really sweet at the same time.. Not great for my taste....

Pause nourriture Seconde! Pas mauvais, fourre a un truc; une sorte de lentille ou de haricot je pense
Food time number 2 :) Quite nice, stuffed with some lentil or a kind of bean, not too sure

Vietnamese Tea Break:
Petite pause dans un cafe au bord du lac pour un Vietnamese Tea... Super amer... Pas trop le genre de chose que j'aime, mais contente d'avoir goute!
We stopped at a cafe next to the lake and had a Vietnamese Tea. It's quite bitter... A bit too much for me but happy to try it :)
At night time:

Night Market:
Direction le Night Market! On y trouve surtout des souvenirs, des faux sacs, des fringues etc....
We then went to the Night Market. It's mainly touristy stuff, clothes, fake handbags, etc.
Dinner...
On retrouve Julien (du bureau de Paris) pour diner et c'est toute une aventure qui commence!
D'abord on tente un endroit supra local (limite tourista garantie d'apres Dinesh) de l'autre cote de la rue... Difficile de communiquer et on comprend bien que le mec veut absoluement nous fourguer du chien...
On change donc de resto....
We met up with Julien who is from the Paris office; I already met him in Melbourne few months ago.
We were feeling all adventurous and just went accross the stree in this restaurant that looked sooo local, only locals there, on little chairs, on the street :) But nobody would speak English or French... The only thing we kind of understood was that this guy was trying to get us to pick dog on the menu... So we decided to go somewhere else.Nous sommes donc alles un peu plus loin dans un endroit tout aussi local pour un BBQ. Nous avons choisi nos viandes dans la vitrine, et zou :)
We went not far away from there in a really local place as well for a BBQ :) We picked our meat in the window and had a great dinner :)

Journee bien crevante! Contente de trouver un lit avec une couette super douillette :))))
