Les parents de Dinesh habitent a environ 15 ou 20kms du centre d'Hyderabad, soit 1h15 d'auto... (j'aime les autos mais 1h15 c'est un peu abrutissant!). C'est parti pour une journee en solitaire a Hyderabad!

Statue de 18 metres, 350 tonnes (la plus grande statue de bouddha au monde dans une seule pierre), elle a ete sulptee par 200 sculpteurs pendant 2 ans et a ete erigee en 1992. (En 1990, la statue a ete mise sur une peniche, apres seulement 90m la peniche a chavire, tuant 10 personnes, ca a pris 2 ans pour que la statue soit sortie du lac et mise sur son socle...)Wikipedia: An 18-meter high and 350 tons monolithic statue of Lord Buddha towers over the lake from atop the Rock of Gibraltar (making it the world's tallest monolithic statue of the Buddha.). The statue was chiseled out of a white granite rock, weighting 450 tons. It was carved by 200 sculptors for two years. After initial problems, the statue was erected on 12 April 1992 on a red lotus pedestal. the statue stood at 58 feet (18 m) and weighed 350 tons, making it the world's tallest monolithic statue of the Buddha. On March 10, 1990, company workers shifted the statue on top of a barge. After traveling only 100 yards (91 m), the statue tipped and fell into the lake. The accident killed 10 people. After a two-year salvage operation, the statue was pulled out of the lake. On December 1, 1992, the statue was installed on the platform successfully. In 2006, the Dalai Lama consecrated the statue after performing a ritual.

Super sympa et vraiment un coin de calme, a part cet enfant qui m'a suivie partout, voulait etre pris en photo et a un peu gache mon heure de serenite je dois dire.... (Et m'a demande des sous en partant! On croit rever!!!!!!!!!! ;p )

So calm, unbelievable! Apart from that kid who followed me and was all around me for the full hour (and who spoiled my serenity moment I have to say!)... Still, I recommend it!

Pas mal ce musee, immense, j'y ai bien passe 2 ou 3h et j'ai pas eu le temps de tout faire, pas droit aux photos. Seul inconvenient, je pensais avoir bien planifie mon coup et etre au musee l'apres midi pour eviter la chaleur.... Pensant que le musee serait climatise.... Ouiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii ben nooooooooooooon, pas de clim, chaleur de malade dans ce musee (je rappelle qu'il fait entre 40 et 43 degres dehors les apres midi....)

Quite good this museum, massive, I spent at least 2 or 3 hours and didn't get the time to check out everything, no pictures allowed. Only down side, I thought I was super organised and planned the museum for the arvo to avoid the heat, thinking the museum would be air coned... Well, yep but nope, no air con and believe me, it was super hot in there!

Dinesh et Ganga sont passes me chercher au musee. Nous sommes alles a Hyderabad Central (un centre commercial), petit snack pour commencer (parce que moi j'ai pas mange depuis le petit dej a part une barre de cereales!) puis recherche d'un cadeau pour Aditi.

So glad to get in bed though, such a massive day, and we have an early morning planned for tomorrow morning.....
