Debout a 5h30 du mat pour faire la route vers Auckland, rendre la voiture et retrouver Rachel, une de mes nombreuses collocs d'Edinburgh !
Awake at 5:30 am to drive to Auckland, give the car back and meet up with Rachel (one of my Edinburgh's flatmates).

This is one of Rachel's favorite place next to Auckland... I'm really glad she took me there :)

Auckland - Piha - Kitekite Falls Walk:
Une quarantaine de minutes de marche (et pas mal de piapiatage de filles !) pour arriver aux Kitekite Falls :)
Around 40 minutes walk (and few girly gossips!) to get to the Kitekite Falls.

Ce pont a ete construit en 1959 (2 files dans chaque sens). Apparemment a ce moment la, quasiement aucune habitation n'etait de l'autre cote du port.... Vous allez voir les photos, la ville s'est beaucoup developpee depuis!!! En 1969, 2 files ont ete ajoutees de chaque cote du pont.
Sur la seconde photo, vous pouvez voir la machine qui bouge la barriere centrale de securite, changeant le sens de la file du milieu pour une meilleure gestion du traffic.

The bridge has been built in 1959 with 4 lines of traffic. At that time, almost nobody was living on the over side of the bridge. In 1969, a Japanese company added 2 traffic lines on each side of the bridge.
On the second picture you can see the machine changing the side of central security barrier so that it changes the way of the central lines depending on the cars flow.

Rachel habite pres de Tauranga, coup de chance, elle etait a Auckland chez ses parents pour les 2 jours que j'ai passe a Auckland. J'ai donc pu squatter la :) Quelques photos de notre diner. C'etait vraiment agreable de revoir Rachel :)

I was really lucky because Rachel lives in Tauranga but she was at her parent's in Auckland while I was there as well. They nicely invited me for diner and to stay at their house for the night. It was really good to see Rachel again and to girly gossip O:)
