C'est le 2 fevrier, c'est l'anniversaire de maman mais c'est aussi la chandeleur!
Il fait 35 degres, mais c'est pas grave, je suis allee manger des crepes (Breizoz sur Brunswick Street a Fitzroy... ca cassait meme pas une pate a un caneton mais c'etait mangeable...). Petite visite a Polly, un bar de cocktails sur Brunswick Street...
Tuesday:
The 2nd of Feb is Mum's birthday, yes, but it is also 'chandeleur'. This is a French tradition; on that day, we have to make crepes and flip them holding a gold coin; if you catch the crepe back in the pan you will be rich for the whole year!
So I went to a creperie on Brunswick street: Breizoz. It was eatable but I don't recommand it.... Went to Polly to have a cocktail (I like the decor and the sofas but the cocktails are much better in Cookie...)
Mercredi:
Il fait toujours bien beau, 35 degres.
La nouvelle du jour; j'ai gagne un pass familial (2 adultes et 2 enfants) pour Luna Park a un concours avec les trams. Luna Park c'est un parc d'attractions, un peu tout pourri mais le seul sur Melbourne (il n'y a pas beaucoup de pars d'attractions en Australie en general, mis a part ceux dans le Queensland)! Donc je suis bien contente :))))) Ca a illumine ma journee au bureau...
Wednesday:
Yeay! I entered my metcard number on the metlink website for a competition and I won a family pass entrance for Luna Park :)))) I know Luna Park is far away from being an amazing theme park but I'm quite excited to get to go there for free :))))
Jeudi:
Pour l'anniversaire de Patrick nous sommes alles voir Avatar en 3D a l'Imax (troisieme plus grand ecran du monde!) du Melbourne Museum. Je pensais que ca ne me plaierait pas parce que je n'aime pas la science fiction mais finalement je me suis bien mise dans le film. La 3D etait sympa mais je m'attendais a quelque chose de plus impressionnant.
Thursday:
We went to watch Avatar 3D at the Melbourne Museum Imax for Patrick's birthday (3rd biggest screen of the world!). I wanted to watch this movie for the 3D experience but I thought I could be a bit bored as I don't like science fiction much. Well I have to say I really got into the movie, it was actually quite good. I thought the 3D part was ok but I was expecting more than what it was i think...
Vendredi:
Je suis allee voir Rob Thomas en concert au Rod Laver Arena avec Vanessa Amorosi en premiere partie.
Vanessa Amorosi est une chanteuse Australienne assez connue ici, la premiere video est son single du moment et la seconde un ancien tube (que nous avons entendu en France je crois bien...). En tous cas elle a la peche!
Rob Thomas aussi avait la peche, il a pas mal papote, le concert a dure 2h et INXS a joue les deux derniers morceaux (la derniere video, c'est la seule date de la tournee ou ils sont presents!)! C'etait vraiment sympa, j'ai ete agreablement surprise.
Friday:
I went to see Rob Thomas at the Rod Laver Arena.
Vanessa Amorosi was the support band. I thought she was only famous in Australia but I actually think I knew one of her songs from before (the second video).
Rob Thomas was really really good, better than what I actually expected! He talked quite a lot, he sang for around 2 hours and INXS came to play the last two songs (last video, it was the only night this would be done on the whole tour).

Depart vers midi pour la Surf Coast :)
Il faisait vraiment un temps pas terrible; vent et frais.... Du coup pas de crepage mais nous avons fait une marche entre Bells Beach et Point Addis Beach :)
We left St Kilda at around lunch time to go on the Surf Coast.
The weather was quite bad, or at least not good enough for creping... We went for a walk between Bells Beach and Point Addis Beach instead :)

Le soir nous avons gare Kevin a Anglesea. Difficile de trouver un resto pour diner et la nourriture n'etait pas terrible terrible.We stayed at the Anglesea campsite. The town is nice but it was really hard to find a place to have dinner at and the food was far from being great!
