Ah oui, je ne vous ai pas mis dans le context. Ce weekend nous partons au Wilsons Promontory Lighthouse avec les filles pour celebrer dignement l'anniversaire d'Adelle. C'est un phare qui se situe dans le Wilsons Promontory National Park, a 19km du parking le plus proche. Donc aujourd'hui nous marchons les 19kms, une fois arrivees au phare, nous passons deux nuits dans un des cottages (autrefois habitation des gardiens du phare et de leur famille) et dimanche retour. A part les cottages il n'y a pas grand chose sur place! Du coup nous devons apporter notre nourriture et revenir avec nos dechets.
Donc, ou j'en etais? Ah oui.. Arret chez Adelle pour distribuer la bouffe et repacker dans les sacs a dos.... Ali a fait mon sac et une fois arrivee au phare seulement je me suis rendue compte que j'avais quasi rien porte... Petite mais costaud pourtant mais elles ont pas voulu y croire!
Bref, nous voila parties pour 3h30 de route pour arriver au parking de la marche.
First of all, a bit of context! To celebrate properly Adelle's birthday, we're going to the Wilsons Promontory Lighthouse for the weekend. This is a 19kms walk one way. So we should get there tonight, spend two nights in one of the lighthouse cottages (which used to be the lighthouse keepers' home I'm guessing) and we walk back on Sunday. There, there are the cottages, peace, nature... and the lighthouse... but no supermarcket! AND we're 4 stomachs on legs! So we need to carry our food and our rubish on the way back.
Ok, now the story!
7am, my mobile rings.... Ali and Naree are downstairs to pick me up... Of course I'm still in bed, of course I didn't hear my alarm clock O:) No I didn't have a big night last night... Thankfully I planned well and packed on Wednesday night, I even have my clothes for the day ready on the table! So I just quickly brush my teeth, get dressed and jump in the car!
We get at Adelle's place to dispatch the food in everybody's backpack..... Ali doesn't really trust my level of fitness for the day so she packs mine and doesn't put much in it at all. Thanks Ali O:) Still feel guilty thought!
Anyway, off we go! 3h30 in the car to reach the car park!

Trop contente, franchement, la marche est pas trop difficile, on papote, on fait des pauses grignotage et dejeuner, tout se passe bien!

I really enjoyed it :) I found the walk quite easy (compared to what I was expecting), specially with all the tchit tchat and the food breaks going on :)
Oui oui, c'est bien une mouche sur mon front... Ben ouais, on est en Australie et c'est le printemps.... Vive les mouchiasses...
Ca y est! On le voit :) La on est bien contentes, mais on ne sait pas encore que le pire reste a venir! Il s'avere que le dernier kilometre est une montee de malade mental (genre la rue Jules Noriac a cote c'est plat!).Yeay!!!! We can see it :) At that point, we are enjoying the walk but we're really happy to see the Lighthouse :) ... What we didn't know then is that the last km is the steapest path ever!
La montee n'est pas impressionnante? Ben pourtant je peux vous dire que nous avons suffert... Genre 45 minutes ou 1h pour faire le dernier km!!!!You don't think it looks steap???? Hum, it took us around 45 minutes or 1h to walk the last km thought (and I hear you, you'll put it on my 'state of the day' but the girls were the same!)

Repos et Diner:
Les filles ont fait quelques etirements pendant que j'ai fait une mini sieste O:)
Succulent diner prepare par les filles et quelques parties de uno. Mais a 22h, tout le monde au lit, j'avais la patate moi pourtant :)
Naree a meme fait et emporte des lamingtons pour feter ma residence! Le lamington est un gateau traditionnel australien. C'est un sponge cake trempe dans du chocolat puis dans des copeaux de noix de coco http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamington.

I had a tiny tiny nap while the girls were streching.
They cooked an awesome dinner. Naree baked and carried all the way lamingtons for my residency yeay!!! They were reeeeeeally good!
I was all then all energetic and everything but the girls were all quite tired.
